Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacterium called Chlamydia trachomatis that is estimated to affect more than 100 million people each year.
The transmission of C. trachomatis is usually carried out by direct contact of the mucosa between two individuals during sexual intercourse (vaginal, anal or oral) or from mother to fetus. It is difficult to estimate the risk of sexual transmission.

The probability that you have been infected with Chlamydia whether it has been vaginal, oral or anal sex is up to 60%.
